PIPP believes in impact philanthropy
PIPP is based in impact philanthropy, where we focus on the types of impact grantmakers are making with their money. This sort of philanthropy exists to address the root cause of a systematic problem – it takes the “teach a person to fish” route rather than the “give a person a fish” route. Impact philanthropy is focussed on results, as opposed to impulse philanthropy, which is driven by the “feel good” effect, and recognition. You can read more about impact philanthropy in former UN Head of Policy Nicola Croster’s article Think Before You Give.
