PIPP’s cohort study builds on the work done by the Asia Pacific Social Impact Centre at the Melbourne Business School. APSIC was a collaborative body that worked with non-profit, business, philanthropic, and government sectors to solve entrenched social problems. We are proud to carry out the research that APSIC inspired with the 2014 Philanthropy: Toward...

The phrase “not for profit” is used a lot in the philanthropy sector. A not for profit can be any kind of organisation that is not government owned and isn’t operating in order to make profits. Most private philanthropies fall into this category and can cover both grantmakers and grantseekers.

Some not for profits decide to have their giving managed by a philanthropic associate. PIPP has a shared value base that informs our purpose and our direction.  Our values are:

We believe that none of us are in this space alone.

We believe in learning and we believe we can do better than we are currently.

We believe that by learning from each other’s evidence-based practise that we can create more impact.
